Lean On Me

Thrid day in Florence and Christies bite are brusing, but not itching as much, and starting to look better. Stef on the other hand is in alot of pain but realized that advil seems to help the itching. Me? Still nothing...I lucked out. However, we came up with a "these are mosquito bite we just dont react well to it", because everyone is asking about the bites....what are they? even a few... "Are those BED BUGS??". Actually, a guy staying in a different room across the hostel even asked about the bites and showed us his....yep hes got them....and nope we didnt tell him. We were not about to get kicked out of the hostel. Our hostel has a lock out from 10 till 4 which is stupid...so we have to leave and cant stay there. No sleeping in I guess. Today we went to the train station and found the platform to Pisa. It was an hour ride, and train rides always make us happy. Wonderful way to start your day. When we got to Pisa we got some easy directions and headed on out. It was a 15 min walk through a lovely city. Even stopped at a Farmers market and sampled some cheese, sausage and bread. Then just as your walking you see it in the distance through the buildings.......and wow....is that tower leaning. It was bigger then I thought it would be and had a huge gorgous catherdral behind it. It was magnificent. We went and got tickets to go up the tower.....15 euros each....hard to swallow but one you go in... worth it. As soon as you get to the base of the tower your leaning, and feel this weird vertigo. Reminded me alot of that werid vortex place off the side of the highwway in Montanas...that feeling. You start walking up the circular staircase...you lean to the right for five steps, then straight for five steps, then to the left for five steps....you get kinda dizzy. The first platform you get to you go to the outside of the tower. Woah, your leaning, its high, this does not sem stable, you feel kinda nacuous, dont look down. Ive been to the empire state building and the grand canyon...but on this leaning tower I was shaking and seriously thinking I might die. I headed in a bit early to the stairccase and a million steps later we were at the top. After you get over the fact your so high up and as you walk around the top you feel like your going downhill then up.....the view was breath taking. Well worth the 15 euros. You can see the mountains, the countryside, all of Pisa, amazing! Once we got down we all felt exhaiulrated. What an experience, a real must in life. When we got back to the hostel we were all pretty tired and spent the night booking hostels and changing tour plans. We cut out Napples, Milano, Zurich and Ibiza. Instead were going to Monte Carlo(which we are all very excited for) Prague and we will end in Berlin. Every backpacker goes on and on and on about Berlin and Prague...so we switched it up.
